In 2013, owner-operator Sam Lawson, along with his family, founded the Double L Ranch with hopes of growing some of the biggest whitetails in West Texas. Together, the Lawson family along with many deer management professionals and wildlife biologists have dedicated mass amounts of time over the last 7 years working to create their own slice of Heaven at the Double L. The ranch is geographically set in in Nolan County, possessing a landscape with sprawling oak trees, mesquites, food plots, long senderos, and running water, it truly is our secret slice of Heaven. After 6 years of managing genetics and increasing their self-sustainable herd, the Lawson family opened the doors to the Double L to the public and welcomed hunters near and far. In the first operating year  the ranch harvested deer ranging from mature 180” to 270” record book whitetail. In addition to our world-class whitetail we also grow and raise exotic animals such as Blackbuck, Eland, Mouflon and Axis deer.
